2. Clean your ps3
Please clean all the dust and dirt from the inside of your ps3.
You should also clean the old thermal compound from the heatsinks using Isopropanol or something similar.
The clean cpu/gpu heatsinks should look like this:
Now you can add new thermal compound .. i use arctic silver 5 ..
3. Installing e3 Flasher (one time usage)
If you plan to use your E3 flasher only one time and dont want to have it inside your console afterwards (for brick fixing or dualboot) the installation process is very easy..
Strip your ps3 down to the motherboard.
Put the e3 flasher where your hdd was .. Place the clip of the e3 flasher on the nor .. Make sure the ribbon cable leads away from the flasher (important) .. it should loop ..
Install the fan, ac and the button board to the ps3 motherboard.
when finished it should look like this (never mind the wires around the e3 in the pic .. we will come to that later ..)

Now just follow the flashing tutorial and when done reassemble your ps3 without the flasher and the clip ...
Make sure you have enough pressure on the e3 clip while flashing ..
press it down with your finger or do it this way:

(looks stupid works great)
4. Installing e3 flasher (dual boot)
a) Soldering
Make sure you solder a wire (awg26-awg30) from the SBE Point on the softboard (ribbon cable) of the e3 flasher to the PA0/TRISTATE point of your ps3 motherboard. This one is for "Flash Fun" unbrick.

Then solder a wire from the SBCE Point from the e3 softboard to the A/CE point of your ps3 motherboard. This one is needed for dualboot.

Make sure to cut/desolder the 20 Ohn resistor ..
http://s14.directupload.net/file/d/2814/d4tn3iyg_jpg.htm
when done it should look like this
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/824/sbesbce.jpg/
to find the exact pinout for you motherboard please download these diagrams
http://www.share-online.biz/dl/5P5XO9IM1F
http://www.putlocker.com/file/ABA4D6E1CCC395C9
please only use as much wire as you need to get from point a to b .. it should look like this:
b) Clip
The worst thing about the e3 flasher is making the clip connect to your NOR. The best way to do it, is to apply pressure by taping some card board to it .. once it gets pressed down by the metal casing of the motherboard there should be enough pressure for the flashing process.
This might take several tries to get it working right ... please dont use glue/hotglue or something like that on the clip .. it will ruin the contacts ..
now add the flasher(best during assembly like this)
and reassemble your ps3 ...
to be continued ...
